Mishka vs GPK vs Madballs – The Battle for Most Gross

In 2021, The Topps Company and Cloudco Entertainment fooled around and gave birth to the gross, monstrosity 80s kids have always dreamed of – Madballs Vs Garbage Pail Kids. As part of their collaborative celebration, they released a collection of licensed products. For instance, their disgusting and charming characters were splattered across new shirts from Mishka NYC.
Mishka NYC is a streetwear company often depicting playfully grotesque and cartoony imagery, so naturally, it made this partnership with Topps and Cloudco the perfect fit. I was entrusted to bring this exclusive Mishka x GPK x Madballs card art to life assisting Mishka’s marketing push to embrace the initial limited t-shirt sale using live video shopping on the NTWRK app.

Revitalizing Mishka’s Madballs GPK

The initial Mishka vs GPK vs Madballs t-shirt was offered using the NTWRK app. As a result, the first 300 customers to sign in and order were also given a limited edition Garbage Pail Kids trading card available exclusively through this app purchase. Contemporary GPK artist Joe Simko provided the illustration combining all three properties.

To help promote this monstrous partnership, new clothing, and new GPK card, Mishka needed help. They’d seen the animated Garbage Pail Kids NFTs I’d created for Topps. Because of that, I was brought on board to give the gorgeous and grotesque art a new life by animating it. It resulted in an engaging, full-motion piece of content for use in Mishka’s social media marketing.

Mishka Makes Eye-Popping Merch

Boogers is the New Black

Mishka NYC is a streetwear company headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Their merch often displays bright and playfully grotesque, cartoon imagery. They were certainly going to create something gross, fun, and unique. You might say they are perfectly suited to collaborate with Topps and Cloudco. Finally, fans can now proudly wear Mishka GPK Madballs gear to show the world that they never truly let go of the gross child inside.
