SweeTARTS x Wonder Woman

SweeTARTS and Wonder Woman need appealing social posts to promote their new Golden Ropes flavor along with the new Wonder Woman 1984 film.

SweeTARTS and Wonder Woman

Golden Ropes of Wonder Woman

SweeTARTS Golden Ropes are golden strings of tropical-flavored licorice rope that embody the signature flavor of SweeTARTS in the center. This version of SweeTARTS Ropes was released in conjunction with the Warner Bros Pictures film, Wonder Woman 1984. It was inspired by Wonder Woman’s legendary Lasso of Truth. The lasso’s power compels anyone bound by it to tell the absolute truth.
SweeTARTS’ partner, Day One Agency, devised a series of social media posts to engage SweetTarts Ropes fans and people excited by the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. Day One Agency had ideas, but they needed help bringing them to life. With my ability to create the artwork and animation, we created fun and engaging Instagram content promoting the new flavor along with the new movie.

Go for the Gold

The content created with Day One were Instagram posts centered around Wonder Woman’s golden lasso. Each animated social post depicted her lasso interacting with the new SweeTARTS Ropes candy packaging. Secondly, each post was meant to create a “surprise” or illusion that the Ropes package was breaking through the confines of a standard Instagram post. Making the posts appear at first as the shorter, horizontal posts – they were actually created as taller posts, allowing the animated elements to break the border (or in this case “break” the screen) and surprise the viewer.

Joining Forces for a Shared Vision

Collaborate, Create, Celebrate

Creating fun and engaging content with brands and agencies is always enjoyable. This collaboration with Day One is a perfect example of a partnership in sharing a creative vision to meet a desired creative outcome. The creative team at Day One came to me with concept sketches and an open mind. We created these fun and offbeat animations to help their client be successful, and to retain our partnership in content creation.

Although these pieces had been story-boarded by the Day One team, I was still faced conquer the challenges of finding and creating all the visual assets. As a matter of fact, it’s mostly in details no one considers:  taking photos of the candy packaging from all angles to create the spinning candy moment, sourcing and customizing video footage to feel on brand and natural in the context of these colorful scenes.
